Please let me know which CentOS release you're using, and which URL yum is trying to access.
I have updated repository with symlinks for Fedora, but I can't guarantee full functionality on it.

Does Apache take up the port 8000? You can check that by running:
sudo netstat -tlnp | grep 8000
If so, you can either reconfigure Apache (ports.conf) to use different port or change Ajenti port in /etc/ajenti/config.json
(EPEL was required)
(just in case you had to search for that package, it was available in EPEL)
