Sorry, but this doesn't answer the question. AMI is a rebranded RHEL, and I need to know whether it's RHEL5 or RHEL6 based. Only RHEL6 is supported by Ajenti. Also check if you have EPEL repo enabled.

Which version of CentOS is your Linux based on? Also ensure that you have EPEL repo enabled

The number of FPM processes can be changed with "Min processes" and "Max processes" in your PHP content entry parameters. FPM will spawn the min processes number of processes and will spawn more up to max processes when the load is increased.
