Putting stuff in General > Custom Configuration will append it to the server { ... } directive. Put your index, error_page, location-deny configuration there. For your location /, put the rewrite configuration into Content > / > Custom Configuration, and it will be inserted into respective generated location { ... } block.

This is an HTTPS problem. A quick solution would be to turn off SSL temporarily. Please follow up the investigation at https://github.com/Eugeny/ajenti/issues/254 and report the requested software versions.

It's possible that it's a different python application that is bound to 8000: run sudo netstat -ntlp | grep 8000 to find out process ID (last column) and then ps aux | grep <pid> to check the process commandline

Hi John, thank you for the research! Could you please check the transfer size and time of resources.js with e.g. Firefox? And please check which SSL/TLS/encryption is active in your Chrome session.
I will include a button for password regeneration; as for MySQL, if you first save your configuration and then create the DB, it will use website's name; if you re-create the DB it will too use website's name.
