Ajenti V ships with IMAP by default. If you really need POP3 support, install relevant Courier package (courier-pop3, depends on OS). Also, use full email address as login for both SMTP and IMAP. Also, check if active SELinux might be interfering with auth daemon.

I don't understand what you mean. SSL isn't forced anywhere in Ajenti.

Also check that there's no firewall / NAT blocking the port.

No, it's not possible to add per-zone permissions.
As for dependency, you need to install bind9 package and restart Ajenti.

I guess you have removed Cron from your system. It's actually required by Ajenti and should be present in any minimal OS install. Just install it back and restart Ajenti.
